Constantine Toumbis, MD - Serving Spine Patients in Florida
Constantine Toumbis, MD, leads the Citrus Spine Institute in Crystal River, Florida. Working with patients in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, he is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who delivers advanced thoracic, cervical, and lumbar procedures to patients with wide-ranging spine issues. Among the conditions Dr. Constantine Toumbis treats are neck pain, degenerative disc disease, and arthritis.
Before establishing the Citrus Spine Institute, Dr. Toumbis served patients in Lecanto, Florida, at the Citrus Orthopaedic and Joint Institute. He also maintained privileges at Citrus Memorial Hospital. In addition, he was a principal designer of the “Arsenal” Alphatec Spine pedicle screw and co-designer of the PEEK anterior cervical interbody cage, a pioneering FDA-approved device.
Dr. Toumbis prioritizes family activities in his daily life, and he and his wife are active with their local church. As a foundation board member with Citrus Memorial Hospital, he was instrumental in the approval of a local YMCA building project that benefitted area youth.
